10 Typical Beginner Mistakes
We were all beginners once. And we all made the same mistakes learning Durak. These 10 mistakes are made by 90% of beginners.
1. Wasting trumps carelessly
Beginners often play trumps just because "they're strong". This is a typical mistake! Trumps are your insurance. Don't waste a trump if you can beat with a regular card.
2. Ignoring card counting
"I'm not a mathematician, it's too hard!" — common excuse. But you don't need to remember all 36 cards. Just track trumps and high cards.
3. Predictability
Always playing the lowest card? Always defending with the strongest? Experienced players will quickly figure out the pattern and use it.
4. Emotional decisions
"He threw in an ace? I'll show him!" Revenge is bad advice in Durak. Every decision should be thought through.
5. No plan
The biggest mistake is playing move by move without thinking about strategy. Always have at least a rough plan: which cards to get rid of, which to keep for the end.
