Transfer Durak Rules: How to Play

Transfer Durak is a dynamic game variant where you can transfer the attack to the next player. Learn the rules and use transfer to your advantage.

Difference from Attack

The main difference is the ability to transfer the attack. If you're being attacked, you can play a card of the same rank and transfer to the next player. They must either defend all cards or also transfer.

How to transfer

Transfer works like this: you're attacked with a seven, you play your seven — attack moves on. Next player now must beat two sevens or play a third. You can transfer as many times as there are cards of that rank.

Transfer strategy

Transfer is powerful. It lets you get rid of cards and burden your opponent. But note: if you transfer low cards (6, 7, 8), the next player will easily beat them. Better to transfer middle cards (9, 10, Jack).

When you can't transfer

Transfer is impossible if: 1) you don't have a card of that rank; 2) next player already defended and left; 3) you're last in defense order. In these cases you must defend or take cards.

Tip

In Transfer Durak watch your opponents' cards. If next player has few cards — transfer to them, let them take. If they have many cards — better defend yourself, don't strengthen their hand.
