Attack Durak Rules: Complete Guide
Attack Durak is the most popular card game variant in Russia. Learn all the rules: how to play, how to defend, when to throw in cards and how to win.
What you need
Attack Durak uses a 36-card deck (from six to ace). 2 to 6 players can play. Each player gets 6 cards. Trump suit is determined by the card under the deck. Goal: get rid of all your cards.
How to play and defend
Attacker plays any card. Defender must beat it with a higher card of the same suit or any trump. Trump can only be beaten by a higher trump. If defender can't or won't defend — they take all cards from the table.
Throwing in rules
In Attack Durak all players can throw in cards to the defender. You can only throw in cards of the same rank as those already on the table. Maximum cards to throw in = defender's cards at the start (but no more than 6).
Drawing cards
After each round players draw cards from the deck up to 6. Attacker draws first, defender last. When deck runs out — play with remaining cards.
How to win
Winner is the first to get rid of all cards. Loser (the fool) is the last player with cards. If two players finish simultaneously — it's a tie between them.
